Thieves are people who make a living in the art of stealing. Not all thieves
are evil, some steal because it is the only way they can make a living.
But then again one does not have to steal to be a thief. Some other skills
associated with thieves are stealth, backstabbing, picking locks, detecting
and removing traps and others such as smuggling and forgery. Thieves
prefer to adventure alone but will go with others when the time comes.
They usually help to the best of their ability but are mainly concerned
with their own profit. At any time they could run from a dangerous
battle leaving others to die but many thieves will risk their lives for
friends. Anything on the ground is free to thieves to take without asking, but

SPECIAL NOTES: A thief
may be played as the warrior or rogue character. The warrior thief is more
concerned about the arts of combat and related thieving skills such as
backstabbing, stealth and pickpocket. They have little use for detecting
and disarming traps because they would rather spend their time at weapons
training. On the other hand the rogue thief feels that all thieves should
be able to use every main thieving skill. Therefore they excel in the arts
of detecting and removing traps and have also trained more with the bow.
Because of this they are weaker and not as good melee fighters and may
not use any bow besides the short bow. If a thief finds an item of thieves
they must keep and equip at least one. Also upon each level up until level
15 the thief must put at least 3 points on dex and at least 2 points on
dex on each level up thereafter until dex is maxed. There are no shrine,
elixir or scroll restrictions.
