A sub-class is a role-playing variant way to
play the game of Diablo. To game using a sub-class you should start a new character
following the specifications of the sub-class description. For example, cleric uses a
rogue class, renshai uses a warrior class etc. Be sure to read
through the whole description and follow all it says. If it says to not use a broad sword
then don't. If it say's not to cast fireball, don't even bother learning it. It is acceptable to break the
rules occasionally. Mistakes happen but be sure to learn from your mistakes. For example you may find
and item and think that the subclass can use it but later on you find out that the subclass cannot use it.
This is not a problem. Just get rid of that item. You should not learn spells that your subclass cannot use
but that your reclass can use. Wait until you reclass to learn those spells. Also it is advisable to find you
own equipment and not accept items too powerful for your character from others. That takes the fun out
of playing. For easy reference it is a good idea to print off the subclass you are playing. This can be
a fun way to role-play in Diablo, but only if you do it right...
Reclasses are upgrades for subclasses. It is entirely optional to reclass but reclasses almost always have
improvements over normal subclasses. The minimum level for reclassing is contained in each reclass. Be sure
to look over the reclass when you decide to play a subclass. A subclass may be reclassed anytime after
reaching that minimum level. At the end of most subclasses is the quest point requirements. Upon reaching
the requirements you will be awarded a quest point. (Use the quest update forum when you have completed
a subclass.)
