Guild Leadership Positions
The guild has officers to maintain the smooth running of the guild, enforce guild rules,
maintain common etiquette, and assist others with guild related issues. Officers volunteer
their time freely, please respect the work and effort that they give to the guild.
The Paladins of Light Guild is carefully structured to have
varying levels of leadership which expands and contracts depending
on the number of active members.
Leadership Positions
The High Council
- Paladin Master
Leader of the Guild. Presides at all guild meetings and has
power to suspend any member from the guild. If any officers
vacate their posts the Paladin Master has the right to appoint
a new officer of his choosing or handle the responsibilities
himself. The Paladin Master depends greatly on the counsel of
the members of the High Council in decision making. The Paladin
Master is the leader of the High Council.
- Paladin Lord
The Paladin Lord is the mouth, eyes, and ears of the Paladin
Master. The Paladin Lord is the second in command and is leader
of the guild in the absence of the Paladin Master.
- Guild Security Officer
The Guild Security Officer is responsible for making sure that
the guild is secure from all possible harassment. He/She oversees
the Guards.
- New Member Liaison
The New Member Liaison handles all the new
member applications and works with member candidates in becoming
full members. He/She oversees the Mentors. The New Member Liaison works
closely with the Guild Security Officer and the Guild Security Team.
- Challenge Master
The Challenge Master leads the development of guild sponsored activities and recognitions which
encourage ongoing member participation within the guild. They also manage the
ongoing support of currently established guild activities and activity related
recognitions.
- Bard
The Guild Bard maintains the Meeting Minutes, and the roster of Legends and the history of the guild. The
Bard assists the Guild Council with planning the weekly meetings and updates.
The Guild Council
- Representatives
The Guild Councils consists of six representatives, elected each quarter by the general
guild membership. They are the thinkers and
counselors of the guild and assist the High Council in decision making.
The Guild Council awards certain medals such as the medal of valor and Guild Council medal
of commendation.
- Captain's Representative
The Captains Representative is elected every six months by the guild Captains. They are the example, teacher, liaison, and friend to the noble
Captains of our guild. The Captains are in need of your encouragement,
help, and guidance on how to be the best leaders that they can
be. The Captains Representative serves as a liaison to the Guild Council.
Other Guild Leadership Positions
- Guards
The guards are the protectors of the guild. They are responsible
to make sure that player killers (pk's) and hackers do not gain
access to the guild games. They do this not by fighting them
but rather by gaining information so we can exclude pk's and
cheaters from our guild. Guards are selected by the Guidl
Security Officer and the Captain of the Guard.
- Captains
These officers are respected leaders who serve as mentors for
the New members and leaders to the Regiments of the guild.
The primary duty of a Captain is to make sure that the members
of their group are having fun and are excited about being a
part of the guild. You are their closest leaders and the ones
that they should think of first when they have questions or
are in need of assistance.
- Lt. Captains
Captains can choose up to two Lt. Captains out of the members
of their regiment. Lt. Captains are Captains in training and
learn how to be effective Captains by assisting their Captain
in his/her duties. When a regiment reaches 10 or more members
the Lt. Captains can choose 3 to 4 members of that regiment
and become a Captain over a new regiment.
- Mentors
Captains can appoint up to two mentors out of the members
of their regiment (including the Captain and Lt. Captains) to serve as
Mentors to the Squires of POL. The Mentors indirectly report to the
New Member Liaison. Captains should follow the
Mentor Nomination Process when naming a new mentor.
- Regimental Specific Positions
The Regiments each have specific leadership positions for members.
These can include Regimental Recruiter, Web Master, Armory, etc.
Interested members can discuss these opportunities with their Captain.
